COVERAGE OF THE SUBJECTS IS AS FOLLOWS

ENGLISH LANGUAGE:

Literacy may be taught discreetly but also to be taught throughout the curriculum. It consists of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.

Our aim is to develop children who are literate and effective communicators and who love language. Developing fine vocabulary is another vital aspect of this subject.

ENGLISH LITERATURE:

Children are introduced to English literature as early as Grade 3 onward. Their minds are developed aesthetically and students experience the world of Classic, touching upon Drama, Prose and Poetry.

URDU AND URDU LANGUAGE:

Based on the same outline as the English language, Urdu is awarded an identical marking scheme.

MATHEMATICS:

Children are helped to develop their Mathematical knowledge, skills and experiences and relate these to new and relevant situations.

For the younger children much of their Mathematical experiences are of a practical nature; this develops as they progress through the school into the more complicated and abstract concepts and skills.

HISTORY:

Pupils are given opportunities to develop an awareness of the past and of the ways it relates to the present. They are encouraged to develop a sense of personal identity by investigating ways in which past events have shaped the future.

GEOGRAPHY:

Students are exposed to investigate the physical and human features of their surroundings and of places and themes across a widening range of scales. They undertake studies that focus on geographical questions that involve field work and class room activities: studies involve the development of skills and the development of knowledge and understanding about places and themes. Pupils are taught to be aware of how the world extends both within and outside Pakistan and how the places they study fit into this wider geographical context.

ART/ CRAFT DESIGN TECHNOLOGY:

The art curriculum offers the children the opportunity to develop understanding of a variety of mediums and processes in order to record, communicate and express ideas in many different ways, hence developing their aesthetic sense.

ISLAMIC STUDIES AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION:

Islamic studies encourages a reflective approach to living, knowledge and understanding of beliefs and practices and a development of personal skills in forming reasoned opinions, based on evidence and logic. Islamic/ religious education makes a strong contribution to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils with a balanced approach towards the subject.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND GAMES:

P.E aims to provide an enjoyable, satisfying program of structured activities with opportunities for all pupils to develop physically, socially and emotionally. Our PE programs cover games, swimming, athletics, and outdoor pursuits. Indoor and outdoor games are critically thought about, planned and executed.

MUSIC:

The children are encouraged to explore a variety of forms of music. They have the opportunity to listen and appreciate a range of music from the past and present and from different cultures and places.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:

We prepare our students to meet the challenges of the future world which should be based on Information Technology. The students are prepared from the Basics of I.T in the form of understanding and problem solving.
